Burning down the house (well the yard)

The only color in the whole yard.  Well except for white, bark, and evergreen.  Welcome to New Hampshire in the spring!!
Today we got to tackle some of the tremendous overgrowth on one side of our house.  There are some wicked (Boston thing...I know) vines that are strangling the life out of all the trees.  They look just like snakes (which makes my heart race just thinking about it) that wrap up huge trees and then reach out and attach to the next closest thing.  Well we tore those bastards up today, Dov actually, but I was a good cheerleader the whole time!
We started out by the rules...ya know just burning stuff 4 inches or smaller but before the day was over I wouldn't have been surprised if Dov decided to tear down the porch and throw it in there as well.  Funny thing that fire is, just kind of sucks you in and before you know it your acting like a little pyro, yeah hey lets burn all the crap in the yard-throw it in there you pussy!  DO IT!
As I looked at these pictures I realized something kind of funny.  My husband is always in the same clothes.  I think, if I am not mistaken, that he was wearing this same outfit in the last pics that I put up of him.  Not a surprise since on Friday he came to say bye before leaving for work in the same exact outfit that he wore the day before.  When I commented on it his answer was that he was working in a different office today so it doesn't matter.  Yup okay sure, did you happen to sniff the pits cause I am sure that the guy in the cube next to you doesn't care where you worked yesterday.
We eventually got bored of playing with fire and decided that we wanted to play with play dough.  Being the awesome mom that I am (big pat on the back of course) we made our own.  Want the recipe it is super easy as long as you like to soak your pans for hours...

Nature's Playdough

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
beet, spinach, and carrot juice
Mix flour, salt and oil, and slowly add the water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until dough becomes stiff. Turn out onto wax paper and let cool. Knead the playdough with your hands until of proper consistency. Use as is, or divide into balls and add a few drops of the vegetable juices to make green, pink, and orange.

I realized that in the directions that they forgot to add the cream of tartar so we just tossed it in there with the flour and stuff.  Oh and since I am awesome I used food coloring instead of fruit juice.  Ummmm word to the wise, use gloves when you add the color.  It doesn't come off on the kids hands when they play with it but it is a mess to make.
There's my boy!!!  Dov wanted to give him the penis cookie cutter that I had from a bachelorette party but I nixed that idea. Just kidding don't call CPS...yet.

This is our newest addition to the Jaffe clan.  His name is Samus Aran.  For those of you not familiar this is the main character in Noah and Dov's favorite video game, Metroid.  Yes my kid plays video games, now you can go call CPS.  Anyways that was today.  What did you do?  LEAVE A FRIGGIN COMMENT.  Pretty please, it will make my day.
